Performance for student participation

Dear professor blackstone, I hope to get an excellent grade for the performance indicator as i feel that I have presented qualities matching what is needed for the grade. I have always been on time for the class and always have shown interests in this module. I know there are times where I was not on time, but I feel I had valid reasons that I was not on time for certain occasions. As a person with mild stage fright, I have always been looking forward to this module to help me overcome this issue. I took opportunities in class by asking and answering to questions whenever necessary in hopes to make voice for myself.  I have taken initiative to get my group engage and also prompting each other to be diligent in our work, which I felt, led to our team being able to finish what needed to be done on time. I would also like to give my team credits as after all, it was a team effort and everyone has done their part in making sure we have kept on track. In terms of initiative, I feel everyon

Critical Reflection

Module Learning Vamos! Before attending this module, I had always perceived that a language module would always be dull and boring. However, after attending Professor Blackstone's class, I have discovered that there is still much more to learn. I have discovered that language is much more complex than we have thought. Through the weeks, I have been exposed to new learnings such as to write a formal report more efficiently, paying more attention to the research findings, meticulously picking out articles that would be suitable for the report. This module has also provided me with insights on how to tap on other search engines such as Google Scholar to research for scholarly articles online, thus allowing for a more reliable source to be used.  Other than just learning a more efficient way of writing, this module has also tapped on my oral skills, learning to speak more fluently and formally according to the context given. And also, to present and articulate contents in a more effici

The article “Thinking about an Automatic Nutrient Dosing System for your commercial grow? Here’s what you need to know” (Advanced Nutrients, 2018) introduces an automatic nutrient dosing system in the hydroponics industry. This system is a “mechanized nutrient delivery system” that delivers an accurate amount of nutrient solution to crops. Among its benefits, this system eliminates human error and the reduction of overall workloads (Morr, 2019). It also saves money in the long run as this system can bring about increased yield of higher quality crops while reducing waste of water and nutrients. The smart controller in the automated nutrient dosing system has provided undeniable benefits by working in unison  with other features of the system such as the pumps and sensor. One of the main features of the automated nutrient dosing system is its smart controller. It is the brain of the system where it controls other features of the system such as the pump modules and a variety of sensors t

My contributions on the group project

In my group project. I have researched mainly on the desirability of implementing a smart cart in Singapore. I came across a article, "Here's why more than half of Singaporeans still prefer in-store shopping". Where it states that even though majority of Singaporeans shoppers prefer to browse online web store before visiting its respective physical store, 56% of shoppers still prefer to buy in-store as they will be able to validate the product's quality before purchasing. Next i have researched on the ergonomics of a smart cart, where we take into account variables that we have to take note such as the overall speed of the cart to accommodate to our walking speed. I have also researched the average height and reach of a Singaporean so as to implement the most ergonomic smart cart for the user. I have also tried to research on the user interface of the cart, determining whether if there is stuffs that we can further implement or improve on the existing interface to ac
